WeldWatch-IR-CameraThe WeldWatch IR is a Long Wave Infrared Camera System (LWIR) which provides a clear picture of smoky welding processes such as GMAW. Because it operates in a thermal infrared band (wavelengths between 8 and 12 microns), WeldWatch-IR has the special ability to see the weld metal and arc right through smoke from the weld.   In fact, the smoke doesn’t show in the image at all, as if it didn’t exist. WeldWatch-IR is a true “heat camera” that provides real time video images of weld processes clearly showing arc, puddle and base metal.

The camera includes motorized focus and an automatic iris aperture mechanism which opens for setup when the arc is off and for HDR imaging when the arc is on.
